What’s in Bloom - Jacaranda
We returned from our April/May travels in time to catch the Jacarandas in bloom. I appreciate these trees best before the landscape crews clean up the carpet of dropped blossoms.
The photos here were taken on campus at Caltech. The standout Jacaranda above is planted east of the South Student Dorms, near the Athenaeum.
The above photo was taken looking south towards the arcaded walkway in front of Moore Engineering building.
The photo below was taken looking north east along San Pasqual walk by Beckman Lab.
Nearby Del Mar Blvd has Jacaranda trees planted on both north and south sides of the street. When the Jacarandas there are in peak bloom, it is quite a sight to behold.
