The Notecard Project

I excitedly opened the package from moo the other day - my custom notecards had arrived! The quality was high and it would be a personal way for me to connect with others through a handwritten note.

The deck of cards that I ordered has 1 each of 25 images oriented landscape or horizontal. Each image was captured using my iphone. Over the past six years, I’ve taken more than a 100,000 photos! Though most are not notecard worthy, many are - a happenstance of being out and about capturing moments, noticing details, the quality of light.

I showed them to J. and said that if he needed to send a note, he could use them. But he reminded me the back of the card is personalized. I said he needs to get a bitmoji!

Another deck, not yet complete, will have 25 images oriented portrait or vertical.

I reached out to some friends - “Choose an image that you like and I’ll snail mail to you.” Initially each selected a different image, based on their mood or interest, or even a memory of time spent with me. Then a few favorites emerged :)

The project will evolve and I’ll create sets with themes and multiples copies of images which will be great gifts - a simple project that allows creativity and spreads positivity.
